The APEC National Organizing Committee of the Philippines has accredited Air Juan Aviation, Inc. as the commercial seaplane operator for the APEC Meetings to be held in Boracay Island this May 2015. Air Juan offered domestic air transportation services on a non-scheduled basis from Manila to Boracay Island v.v. and Boracay Island to Kalibo v.v. Air Juan’s new seaplane service offers a convenient way for APEC delegates as well as local and foreign tourists to get to the island without having to go through the airports considering that these aircraft types are capable of doing both land and water landings/takeoffs.
The location of Air Juan Seaplane Dock in Manila can be found at the newly constructed Jetty Port beside the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) between Gloria Maris and Manila Star Cruises while the island arrivals is at Air Juan’s newly constructed seaplane dock/jetty at Diniwid Walkway near Boracay Terraces Resort (BTR), Station 1 area.
The new service will cut-short travel time from Manila to Boracay Island and will allow passengers to experience water landings/takeoffs directly at the white beach stretch. Passengers from Kalibo (connecting from other airlines) to Boracay Island, may opt as well to fly Air Juan Seaplane rather than take the approx. two (2) hours van/bus/boat ride. Departure and arrival via Seaplane is at the Kalibo International Airport. Travel time from Kalibo to Boracay v.v. is approximately 20 mins.
